The Student Accident Cover Letter includes a page regarding Provincial Health Coverage. It is important to note for those that don’t have Provincial Health coverage in place, the Student Accident Insurance will exclude treatment and/or services otherwise covered under a Provincial Health plan. This includes, but not limited to, all hospital related costs including x-rays, doctor fees, lab work, etc. Neither the Universal Student Accident nor Voluntary Student Accident is a replacement for Provincial Health coverage. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to apply for Manitoba Health or secure Replacement Provincial Health.
In addition to the above, the MSBA Parent Portal link is included in the attached letter. The MSBA Parent Portal (www.hubinternational.com/msbaparentportal) is designed to be used by parents/guardians and will include coverage information and claim forms for the Universal Student Accident, Voluntary Student Accident, Student Travel, Volunteer AD&D and Volunteer/Approved Chaperon Travel Health. The Portal is currently being updated with these new communications.
