Brad Curtis, Superintendent/CEO of Red River Valley School Division (RRVSD), has announced his retirement, effective September 1, 2025, after a distinguished career in education spanning over three decades.

Brad began his educational career in 1990 as a teacher at Lowe Farm School and moved as a teacher to Sanford Collegiate, where he later served as principal from 2002 to 2017. His leadership journey continued to evolve, culminating in his role as Superintendent/CEO, where his visionary leadership and unwavering dedication have had a profound impact on RRVSD.

Under Brad's guidance, the division has experienced remarkable growth and innovation, transforming the educational landscape and significantly advancing the success of students, educators, and communities. Notably, Brad's leadership has also strengthened the Board and fostered a culture of excellence and collaboration.

Throughout his tenure, Brad has been a passionate advocate for prioritizing student success. He led by example, consistently protecting classroom funding from budget cuts and mentoring principals and divisional leaders to elevate educational outcomes. His commitment to fostering inclusion and maintaining a student-first approach has been at the heart of RRVSD’s mission.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees and the entire RRVSD family, we extend our deepest gratitude to Brad for his exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment. While we will certainly miss his guidance and vision, we wish him all the best in the next chapter of his life.
