Morris became our home in 1969 when my wife, Sharon, and I moved here after I graduated from Minot State University. I had accepted a teaching and coaching position at Morris School, where I worked until my retirement in 2005. Over the years, Sharon and I have raised three daughters, welcomed three sons-in-law into our family, and are proud grandparents to four grandchildren. Our strong family ties to this community have made Morris a place where we've been fortunate to witness the growth and success of the students we've worked with, and to see our own children thrive here.

Throughout my career in education, I had the privilege of being part of a dedicated team that worked together to support students' success. As a teacher and coach, I was able to witness firsthand the

achievements of students and the impact that a supportive school environment can have on their personal and academic development. The relationships I built with students, parents, and colleagues throughout my career have remained a cornerstone of my belief in the power of education to change lives.

My decision to become a School Trustee was driven by my passion for education and my commitment to continuing to make a difference in the lives of students. Even after my retirement, I wanted to remain part of a team dedicated to improving the educational experience for the children in our community. As a Trustee, I strive to ensure that RRVSD remains a place where educators want to set roots and where parents want their children to grow and succeed. I am committed to supporting the vision of a strong, vibrant, and inclusive educational environment where students, teachers, and families can thrive.
